Universitetet i Agder

The University of Agder was established as a university in 2007.  It is the newest university in Norway, but has longstanding academic traditions through its predecessor, the Agder University College. The university receives the professorate in connection with the solemn opening of Campus Grimstad which already offers an education within engineering.

This professoriate will strengthen the academic environment in Southern Norway by strengthening the knowledge ties to the local industry, and to the rest of the Norwegian maritime cluster.
